Fun at the Farm

We were introduced to a new (to us) farm this week that's not far from our house.   The kids had a great time feeding the animals and playing in the huge sand box with their buddy Logan.   We went again yesterday morning and got homemade muffins and cider donuts - a New England staple!

In Mommy's shoes

The kids always raid my shoes.   Usually it's high heels or flats.   With the rainy weather we've had, it's only appropriate that Lila picked rain boots.   Tanner went for a little red number.

Bike Ride

Going on a bike ride this morning.   The kids liked the big water truck they saw along the way.   It even had fire flames on the side.   ewwwwww.

Music to my ears

"I'm pooping!" {when the kids are sitting on the potty}

Thankin' my lucky stars

Thankin' my lucky stars for.

1.  My little rascals.  They giggled like crazy and fell over each other today when I hid and scared them.
2.  Jacob - we'll be celebrating our nine year anniversary tomorrow.   The kids are lucky to have an awesome Daddy and I'm lucky to have an awesome husband.
3.   My dear friend Brooke Zahn.   She lived in Mass for a short time and currently lives in Ohio but is originally from Minnesota.   Since I have two friends named Brooke, she's "Brooke from Minnesota."    I follow her blog and she has funny observations, great stories that can make you laugh and cry in the same sentence, is like Martha Stewart on drugs and an amazing Mommy.   She has given me inspiration to get this blog going.
4.  Nice weather!   SHORTS, ICE CREAM, WATER PLAY!
5.  The pretty pink flowers Kelli brought me today.
6.  The man at the post office that went out of his way to get the door for me (holding hands with the kids while carrying two packages under my arm).
7.  Quick dinners like pizza.
8.  Play dates.
9.  The kids loving to go grocery shopping.   As soon as I say "grocery shopping", they talk about getting a slice of salami at the deli counter.   Today they sang their full ABC'S (no missed letters) while we checked out.
10.  The kids taking a nap at the same time (it was rare last week, hopefully this week we're back on track).

Things that make me go hmmmm

1.  Ordering at Starbucks.   If you don't say what you'd like in the perfect order they look at you like you have 3 heads.
2.   Fighting over the same toy when there are 300 other toys to play with.
3.  Tanner and Lila pretending their food (hummus, ranch, etc.) is lotion or sunscreen.  ARGH!
4.  The kids new trick of jumping from the coffee table to the floor.   Actually, I believe it's more of a leap.   Of course it's completely unacceptable!
5.  Will I really keep this blog updated?!

You've got to start somewhere!

I've been thinking of starting a blog for quite some time.  I actually created this web address almost a year ago.   I'm going to try my best to update as often as I can.   Life is a little more under control these days (or as much as they can be with TWO TWO year olds) so here goes......
